VISION ALIGNMENT
This plan advances the institutional vision to be a nationally recognized college of engineering and technological education, fostering innovation, interdisciplinary research, and societal contribution, particularly in AI, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies.
1. ACADEMIC TRANSFORMATION & PROGRAM EXPANSION
Goal: Deliver future-ready, interdisciplinary education across UG/PG levels.

- Integrate AI, ML, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Smart Fabrication into core curricula.
- Emphasize project-based, experiential learning with real-world problems.
- Adopt credit-based flexible curricula allowing cross-disciplinary electives.
- Minor degree programs in emerging areas for interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.

Goal: Establish REC as a center for applied, interdisciplinary, and socially impactful research.

- Collaborative Research: Partner with IITs/IIITS/NITs, DRDO, CSIR, and other national/international research bodies. Apply for grants under DST, SERB, AIM, AICTE-RPS.
- Publication and IP Culture: Incentivize journal publications, patents, and proof-of-concept prototypes.
3. INDUSTRY INTEGRATION AND INNOVATION TRANSFER
Goal: Develop industry-responsive graduates and tech-driven solutions.
- Industry-Academia Councils for each department.
- Live industrial projects, co-designed labs, and on-site training/internships.
- Skill certification programs via industry partners.
- RECP Technology Innovation & Transfer Office (RECP-TITO) for IP licensing and product incubation.
4. STUDENT CENTRIC LEARNING & EMPOWERMENT
Goal: Build leadership, technical expertise, and ethical grounding in every student.
- REC Skill & Innovation Hub: Workshops on communication, AI tools, coding camps, startup bootcamps, hackathons.
- Global Exposure: Virtual internships, joint degrees, IAESTE, AICTE-INAE internships, AI-for-India challenges.
- Wellness & Career Services: Support for GATE, CAT, GRE, UPSC and mental health.
5. DIGITAL & PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE MODERNIZATION
Goal: Create a sustainable, digitally advanced learning ecosystem.
- Smart Classrooms & Virtual Labs in all departments.
- AI-driven LMS for personalized learning pathways.
- High-Performance Computing (HPC) Lab for data-intensive projects.
- Campus-wide IoT-enabled infrastructure for resource monitoring.
- Green Campus Drive: solar energy, rainwater harvesting, zero-waste initiatives.
6. SOCIETAL INNOVATION & REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Goal: Solve real-world problems through student-faculty innovation.
