This plan advances the institutional vision to be a nationally recognized college of engineering and technological education, fostering innovation, interdisciplinary research, and societal contribution, particularly in AI, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies.
1. Academic Transformation & Program Expansion
Goal: Deliver future-ready, interdisciplinary education across UG/PG levels.
- Curriculum Modernization:
- Integrate AI, ML, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Smart Fabrication into core curricula.
- Emphasize project-based, experiential learning with real-world problems.
- Adopt credit-based flexible curricula allowing cross-disciplinary electives.
- Minor degree programs in emerging areas for interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.

- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning)

Goal: Establish REC as a center for applied, interdisciplinary, and socially impactful research.

- EE: Smart Grid, EV Charging Systems, Embedded AI
- CE: Climate-resilient infrastructure, GIS for planning, Smart sanitation

- Publication and IP Culture: Incentivize journal publications, patents, and proof-of-concept prototypes.
3. Industry Integration and Innovation Transfer
Goal: Develop industry-responsive graduates and tech-driven solutions.
- Industry-Academia Councils for each department.
