Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation Lab
The Electrical Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory enhances students’ understanding of accurate electrical measurements and instrument operation. Equipped with conventional and digital measuring devices, the lab facilitates experiments on meter calibration, power and energy measurement, instrument transformer testing, and error analysis. Through hands-on practice, students develop skills in instrument selection, safe handling, and data interpretation, preparing them for real-world electrical engineering applications.

- Calibration of the AC voltmeter and AC ammeter
- Measurement of inductance using Maxwell’s Bridge
- Measurement of capacitance using the Schering Bridge
- Measurement of low resistance using Kelvin’s Double Bridge
- Measurement of power using CT and PT
- Measuring displacement using LVDT
- Measuring temperature using a thermocouple
- Measuring pressure using a piezoelectric pickup
